Will you help?  Can you give just a few hours of your time every month to keep the NCT afloat here in Brighton and Hove?  By joining you’ll be giving something back to the charity, and you’ll be helping to make sure this service is available in Brighton and Hove for new mums and their families.  But don’t worry, its not hard work.  It is a great way to meet new people, and it may even be a chance to develop new skills and something to add to your CV.  Contact bandhnct_chair@yahoo.co.uk or call general enquiries on 0870 421 4791

We also offer opportunities to shadow branch roles to ensure continuity if members decide to take on a different post or have to move on.

Nearly New Sale Assistants – assist the coordinator: any one or more of dealing with email enquiries from sellers, organising sellers packs, communication with volunteers, helping set up the hall, helping process payments, liaising with the treasurer.

NCT Sales Rep -  Help to sell the excellent NCT new goods and raise money for the charity at the same time.

Membership Secretary -  send out new joining information to new members.

General enquires (temporary) - take calls from pregnant mums and new parents interested in NCT services.

Newsletter editor - Come up with ideas for newsletter content, collect contributions and edit.  Work with the others in the team: production editor, advertising and distribution.

Newsletter advertising - pick up a well-running set of relationships and add your ideas: get advertising to fund the newsletter.

Publicity - ideas to raise awareness of NCT services, make contacts and work with volunteers to raise our profile.

Newsletter distribution - three times a year do a mailing for each newsletter using the head office database working with the others in the newsletter team (i.e. print off the stickers, buy stamps and envelopes, take delivery of the newsletters, invite friends and volunteers round to stuff, and take to the post).

Website coordination with Head Office - a small task to check that material on the NCT central website is up to date and communicate any changes, an opportunity to liaise with committee members.

There is also the chance to shadow other roles such as chair and secretary to get a taste of what the jobs involve.
